Woda Group Seeks Subcontractors for Cavalier Greene & Lincoln House Redevelopment Projects June 27, 2016 Woda Group, the developer of the successful senior apartment complex Sycamore House in Durand, is preparing to redevelop two more vacant Shiawassee County schools that will provide additional local housing. Both Lincoln House, in the former Lincoln School in Owosso, and Cavalier Greene, in the former Shiawassee Street School in Corunna, are slated to begin construction in the coming months. In support of these projects, Woda will be hosting two upcoming informational sessions to introduce local subcontractors to bid opportunities in the following areas: Demolition Asbestos Abatement Concrete Existing Brick Repair/Tuck-pointing Rough Carpentry Roofing Finish Carpentry Insulation Gypsum Board/Drywall Plaster Repair Fire Suppression Plumbing HVAC Electrical Excavation Termite Control Asphalt Paving Material Testing Surveying The first informational session will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 9:00 AM at the former Shiawassee Street School, located at 106 S. Shiawassee St in Corunna. The second will be Friday, July 1st at 9:00 am at the former Lincoln School, located at 120 Michigan Ave in Owosso. Information on both projects will be available at both events. “We have an aggressive schedule for construction, and are immediately locating subcontractors with the expectations to receive quotes in the coming weeks. It is our desire that we can use as many of local companies as possible throughout this process,” said Darla Tovar, Vice President of Operations at Woda. “With an established track record of success in the area, we are excited to see Woda making additional investment in Shiawassee County. Not only will these projects provide quality housing opportunities for residents, but will also provide work for our construction industry and keep money in the community.
