Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership Completes Annual Audit; Receives Clean Opinion for 10th Consecutive Year

In the first quarter of 2019, VMD & Associates completed an audit of the SEDP’s 2018 financials and has issued a clean opinion. An in-depth presentation of these audit findings was made to at the April meeting of the Board of Directors. This is the tenth consecutive year of clean audits, one for each year of SEDP’s operation as a stand-alone organization.

Annual audits are standard procedure for the organization.

“With over 170 investors in our organization, it is essential that these funds are being overseen responsibly. This is why our bylaws call for annual financial review,” said President/CEO Justin Horvath.
