Elsesser’s Auto Repair & Fabricating Breaks Ground on New Facility in Perry Township

Representatives of Elsesser’s Auto Repair & Fabricating, Perry Township, the City of Perry, Shiawassee County, the I-69 International Trade Corridor, Lynnman Construction, and the SEDP break ground on the Lansing Rd facility.

Perry – Elsesser’s Auto Repair & Fabricating, an automotive repair & maintenance provider, hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking on May 2nd for a new 10,000 square foot facility on Lansing Road (directly east of Family Dollar) in Perry Township. The company will be relocating and expanding from a smaller building on Bennett Drive in the Perry Township Industrial Park. The new site will allow the firm to expand a variety of services it offers to the personal and commercial vehicle market, including general maintenance, brake repairs, suspension, air conditioning, computer diagnostics, welding, driveline, tires (repair, sell, and alignments), classic car maintenance, and more. It will also mean a few new jobs in the community. “We are excited to move forward with this project in the township, which we really need to accommodate business growth. The new space will allow us to better serve our current customers, and hopefully add many more,” said company owner Adam Elsesser. The general contractor is Lynnman Construction (also based in Perry Township), with financing provided by Independent Bank. The site is part of a larger district created by the I-69 International Trade Corridor, which supports the investment of supply chain businesses like Elsesser, by utilizing tax increment financing to help fund public infrastructure in the area. The City of Perry and Perry Township continue to work on the potential extension of a water line down Lansing Road, of which companies like Elsesser and the new Transfleet logistics facility could benefit. “Adam has been a long-time member of the Perry area industrial community, and we are excited and thankful for his continued growth in the township,” said Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership President/CEO Justin Horvath, whose organization provided project assistance. “It also further demonstrates the momentum we are seeing for development in the I-69 International Trade Corridor, which is exciting,” Horvath added.
